Dear festival goers,

Since its first edition in 2011, the Groove’N’Move Festival has welcomed 15’000 spectators, artists and dancers in Geneva andits canton.

Its 7th edition will take place between the 11th and 26th of February for two weeks of discovery!

This year, it is our privilege to welcome Japan as our guest of honour with passionate dancers, DJs and choreographers who will come and make us share their subtle and refined visions of hip-hop culture.

Creation in the field of hip-hop dancing and the discovery of new talents are invariably at the heart of our program, but the questioning go beyond the mere performance. Performances, documentaries, workshop-conferences, masterclasses and battles will take place during 2 weeks in eleven different locations. Exploration will be encouraged and as always there will be an endeavour to express and understand together the same language, that of bodies and movement.

Throughout the years, thanks to the diversity of the offered events, this manifestation has found its place in the local and international cultural landscape, making Geneva into an epicentre of urban dances.

This was made possible thanks to you, ever more loyal and numerous!

Groove’N’Move is a story of movements, appropriation of real or imaginary space, of the history of urban dances that continues to unfold. Groove’N’Move represents the strength of sharing, the necessity of transmission, of enriching each other and simply of moving together.

This festival couldn’t be as rich in proposals without the support of our partners and the trust of our public that I would like to personally thank for their commitment and their support for the last ten years.

This is what dance is about, and what we would like to share with you.

See you very soon!
