The Groove’N’Move Battle was introduced for the first time in 2015 in Geneva to replace the Juste Debout Switzerland whose international tour had been exceptionally cancelled that year.
The battle was a great success and was met with enthusiasm from dancers from all over Europe who boosted the reputation of the festival outside Switzerland and even Europe. This is in part due to the fact that it is the only battle in Switzerland that offers the Tutting category.
Indeed, the Groove’N’Move battle introduced tutting for the first time in Switzerland in 2015. Extremely popular on the West coast of the US, Tutting is a street dance focused on the dancer’s ability to create movements in which the precision of the angles is most important.
There will be three categories of urban dances :
All Style (2vs2) in Bonnie & Clyde.
One of the particularities of this battle is that the Hip-hop discipline takes place as a Bonnie & Clyde event, which means the team is composed of a male and a female dancer.
